Most of my life, I have repeatedly found myself drawn in two distinct directions. The first being a fascination with science, mathematics, and the countless ways in which they continue to transform the world. The second, is the desire to create. Carpentry, landscaping, music, writing, traditional and digital art have filled my days. If I can use my hands to make something, especially one evoking an emotional response from others, then I will. What continues to play to my favor is how well these paths have melded over the years.
The overlap of chemistry and geometry led me to the expansive world of minerals and gemstones. Learning the theory of soldering from electronics and sweating copper pipes for plumbing laid the foundation to understanding silver and goldsmithing. Combined, this easily enabled me to excel at a long career in fine jewelry retail & design. Working alongside jewelers every day, it was only a matter of time before I began creating my own jewelry.
